Founder
Professor Cerullo, a Founder & Scientific Advisor and executive director, contributes world-leading expertise in laser spectroscopy and nonlinear optical microscopy. Via CRI Italy’s status of spin-off of Politecnico di Milano, he provides access to state-of-the-art laboratories and funding opportunities.
Matteo Negro
CEO & CTO
Dr Matteo Negro, is widely experienced in laser technology, ISO 13485 and the requirements of medical devices regulations. Matteo is leading the company after having built a technical team with expert knowledge in the critical technology areas. As a CTO, Matteo is also leading product design and development.
Neil Crabb
Chairman
Neil Crabb is Chief Executive of Frontier IP. He co-founded Sigma Capital Group plc and has considerable experience as an investor and director of a wide range of technology and university spin-out companies. Neil is an approved person under FSMA.
Paul Mantle
Director
A veteran of international high-tech business activities based at various times in Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK, Paul has led CRI from its founding in March 2018 and is currently a non-executive director of the company.

Degrees in Business Administration and International Relations, Angela is involved with administrative and financial aspects of the company.
Francesco Crisafi
R&D Manager
Francesco obtained a Ph.D. on Raman Microscopy at Politecnico di Milano and gained industry experience in fibre lasers development and characterization. He spent almost two years working in Zurich as a postdoc and then in a high-tech startup. Francesco is leading the R&D department.
Elisa Pinelli
Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs Manager
Elisa obtained a master degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. She has 8 years industry experience on ISO 13485 and medical devices regulations. Elisa is now responsible for both company and product certification.
Andrea Ragni
Electronics Engineer
Andrea obtained a Ph.D in Electronics Engineering from Politecnico di Milano discussing the thesis: “High-Speed and Low-Noise Multichannel Electronics for Broadband Coherent Raman Imaging”. Successively he got a post-doc scholarship on the same topic. Andrea is responsible for the acquisition system design and development.
Gabriele Di Noia
R&D Engineer
Gabriele obtained a Master Degree in Engineering Physics at Politecnico di Milano specialising in the field of Photonics and Nano-Optics. Gabriele is now part of the R&D team, focusing on the development of innovative fiber lasers and Coherent Raman platforms.
Mujeeb Rahman
Laser Engineer
Mujeeb obtained a master’s degree in Optoelectronics from university of South Wales in the UK. Previously he has worked on the production of High-power pulsed fibre lasers. Mujeeb is currently a part of the R&D team, focusing on the development of graphene based saturable absorber.
Federico Monti
Electronics Engineer
Federico obtained a Master Degree in Electronics Engineering from Politecnico di Milano discussing the thesis: “Multichannel Digital System for Closed-Loop Control Of Densely-Integrated Photonic Circuits”. He joined the R&D team and his activity is focused on the design and development of the acquisition system.
Benedetta Talone
System Engineer
Benedetta obtained a Ph.D. on Multimodal Microscopy at Politecnico di Milano with a thesis entitled: “Multimodal Nonlinear Optical Microscopy for Biological Applications”. Benedetta joined the R&D team, working on microscope development and system integration and applications.
Francesca Marinoni
Production and Supply Chain Manager
Physics Engineer, 3 years experience as Laser Manufacturing Engineer and 4 years as Production Manager of solid state lasers and RF energy-based devices in the medical field.
